Faruk Arslan is a Registered Social Worker who holds a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University. He also has a Master of Arts in Religion and Culture and PhD Candidate in Human Relationships Psychotherapy and Spiritual care from Martin Luther College and Wilfrid University. Faruk is a member of the Association od Social Worker and OSWSSW for Therapy and Social Work Counsellor. Arslan has taught three different levels of Turkish for the Youth and Adult at Toronto District School Board Public School as a supplementary teacher. He experiences counselling individuals, groups, couples, youths and adolescents with diverse population in Toronto and the Southern Ontario. He also holds a degree Sociology in Honor from York University and SSW diploma from Centennial College.
Faruk has expertise in the areas of depression, anxiety, PTSD, war trauma, and panic attack. Faruk works primarily with children living with identity crises, emotional, physical and sexual traumas, major depression, social anxiety, ADHD, high sensitivity and mood swing challenges. He works with children who are struggling with dysregulation, behavioural difficulties, emotional disturbance, grief and bereavement, puberty related stressors. He has expertise working with children from refugee backgrounds and 2SLGBTQ+ youth. In addition to children, Faruk works with parents who are wanting to support their child(ren) with ADHD, Asperger Syndrome and Autism.

He developed Mindfulness Therapy for youth to overcome borderline personality disorder (BPD) issues. He became expert on DBT, CBT, EDMR and Jungian Spiritual Dream Interpretation and self growth design. He has received a certificate in Expose Therapy Meditation and Indigenous Cultural Safety in Health Care. He has expertise working with children, youth and families from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Drawing from evidence-based practice to tailor treatment for clients, He uses person centred Rogerian techniques, Jungian Sandtray& Worldplay therapy integrative (directive and non-directive) Narrative play therapy techniques with children. Drawing from solution focus-based practice to tailor individual treatment for clients, he uses human-centered approach to collaborate in the self-cure healing system. He develops a stronger connection with client’s authentic self, release constricting pattern in their mind, body and spirit, and manifest their true potential. He uses psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal therapy, relational therapy, as well as medicalized eastern mystic mindfulness tools to meet individual needs where they are in their healing self journeying.
Faruk is passionate about working with individual, family and group as well as children and youth. He loves all things poetic and creative art, especially poems and symbolism arts. He published poem books and many articles. He is creative, sincere, warm, holistic, and strengths-based spiritual person. Faruk believes the purpose of life is life itself. He offers goal-settings, prosperity and loving kindness that the therapeutic relationship is integral to the success of treatment for the long run. He deals with addictions, obsessions and finds out curiosity or interest areas of life that playing vital roles. All walks of life will be deserved better life that the individual is welcome in treatment. The most-sincerity is the way. If there is truth to be found, then therapy will start.
